Not a lot I can say about this that hasn’t already been said a thousand times already, other than this: it’s absolutely fucking superb. I really, really enjoyed it and even though I’m not one to get swept along in hype, thought it was fairly well deserved. The more trailers and clips I saw of this film the more excited and childlike I got about it. I love it when filmmakers manage to put to so much human-like character into something non-human and this film is a brilliant example of how entertaining anthropomorphism can be. I had a smile on my face throughout virtually the entire film and giggled like… - Iron Man 0

I saw this at my usual cinema haunt (Empire cinema in Rubery) and I really enjoyed it — a black comedy with great characters, a brilliant script and a superbly chosen soundtrack. All the leads were excellent and Colin Farrell was especially moving. - 10,000BC 0

I guess the fact that me and my mate were the only ones in to see this film (at least until two women turned up) should’ve been a bit of a clue as to how good this film was or wasn’t going to be. That said, it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting although I’m not what you’d call a fan of zombie films. - I Am Legend, AvP: Requiem, Cloverfield, Jumper 1

I started listening to Orbital back in about 1997 after hearing a friend play a 12” version of The Box - I liked what I heard, so I bought In Sides on CD. Many, many plays later it still remains one of my favourite chill-out albums. - Glider 4

This is the first game I ever played on a Mac, many years ago at a mate’s house. It’s one of those games that’s very basic in concept but is incredibly addictive and infuriating in equal amounts. This cartoon series is the funniest I’ve ever read - no question about it. The stories follow Calvin, a boy of about five or six years old, and his toy tiger, Hobbes, who comes to life when no one else is around. Together they get into trouble and are devilishly mischievous, but not out of some childish need to be naughty but simply through Calvin’s struggle to understand life and the world that surrounds him. - Imogen 0

This was a brilliantly cunning puzzler which saw you controlling the central character who has to solve puzzles, level by level, to complete the game. The puzzles are varied and require some serious consideration if you’re to complete them. - Superfrog 7

What can be said about Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series that hasn’t already been said? Not a lot, I imagine. For those viewers who haven’t read or heard of this series, it’s a collection of stories that all take place on the aforementioned Discworld - a flat disc of a planet that rests on the back of four enormous elephants who in turn are stood on the back of a gigantic star turtle that is swimming through space. The place is full of magic and, as a result, is populated by wizards, witches, dwarves, trolls, vampires and sometimes the worst of the bunch: humans. - Grim Fandango 17

This film is without a doubt my favourite - it’s just one of those films you can watch over and over again … and I often do. For those of you who haven’t seen it: it’s the story of Andy Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins), a banker, who gets tried and convicted for the murder of his wife and her lover - he protests his innocence, naturally, but gets two life sentences to be served back-to-back in Shawshank prison. - Citadel 0

This was an “explore and collect” adventure game that saw you roaming a giant citadel with dozens of locations, creatures and scenarios. The object of the game was, ultimately, to collect three crowns - however, to achieve this you had do certain other tasks along the way.
