The Dark Knight  4

The Dark Knight

Not a lot I can say about this that hasn’t already been said a thousand times already, other than this: it’s absolutely fucking superb.

I really, really enjoyed it and even though I’m not one to get swept along in hype, thought it was fairly well deserved. Heath Ledger’s performance is virtually perfect and he manages to be bewildering, mesmerising and, quite frankly, terrifying throughout.

There are loads of fantastic moments along the way with more than a few which, whilst weren’t funny in the traditional sense, made me go “Ha!” rather loudly — the pencil trick was a particularly good example of this.

The soundtrack is also outstanding — I picked it up at HMV in Merry Hill a couple of weeks ago and some of the tracks are already on a double figure play count.

Can’t agree any more, very very good film, perhaps a touch long but that is instantly forgiveable. It’s a little crazy with this supposed “curse” the film has got, what with Morgan Freeman being injured. Heard on the radio this morn that he should make a full recovery, so that’s a relief. - Jimiminar

Argh! I don’t want to go to the theatre, I hate movie theatres and all I hear about The Dark Knight is making it very hard to resist. I want to wait till it’s released on Blu-ray DVD. I wonder if I can wait… There is an IMAX version playing in town… - MHC

@Jimiminar Yeah, he’s my favourite actor so I’ve had my fingers crossed. @MHC It is a damn good film but if you think you can wait for the DVD then be prepared — I think it’ll be in the cinemas for a while yet! - Timmargh

I want IMAX I understand that only some scenes were actually filmed in IMAX(?! what does this mean anyway) so it’s not the entire film But man I love this movie so much You know the thing about chaos Tim? It’s fair. - Darren
