“The name’s Bourne. Jason Bourne.”
“Er, no it isn’t.”
“… bugger.”
I saw The Bourne Ultimatum at the cinema tonight and I really enjoyed it. It’s all action from the word go that doesn’t let up (it was the first time in a long time that I didn’t wonder how long I’d been watching part-way through) and I think I only blinked about three or four times during the whole film! Okay okay, slight exaggeration — maybe six or seven.
I saw the first one in the series, Identity, a few years ago when it was on one of the movie channels and enjoyed it a fair amount — I think it was the first time I’d seen a film with Matt Damon in a major role and it’s one of the many films on my “must buy on DVD” list.
Supremacy, the second one, I didn’t actually get to see until last week and again: I enjoyed it. It was more of the same as the first (and third) but the story and characters had enough attention paid to them to stop it being boring.
As I’ve slowly become a fan of Mr. Damon lately, after watching Ocean’s Eleven and Twelve and more recently The Departed, I guess I was predisposed to liking Ultimatum. But, having said that it is a damn fine film anyway.
