“Blue Album” by Orbital

I started listening to Orbital back in about 1997 after hearing a friend play a 12” version of The Box - I liked what I heard, so I bought In Sides on CD. Many, many plays later it still remains one of my favourite chill-out albums.
After that I must confess to not hearing much else by them until I learned that Blue Album was going to be their last release.
As with In Sides, I liked most of this album on the first listen being as it is an enjoyable, laid back album. One Perfect Sunrise was an instant favourite which sounds absolutely fantastic with your eyes closed and the volume cranked up. Acid Pants was disappointing and also very annoying and subsequently hasn’t been played since.
