“Heavy Horses” by Jethro Tull
2
This is one of the many albums I can thank my brother for - he played plenty of music whilst I was a kid and as a result I grew up liking loads of it.
I’ve heard a few of Jethro Tull’s other albums - Aqualung and Broadsword And The Beast immediately spring to mind - but Heavy Horses is definitely my favourite; I don’t know if it’s because it’s the first one I got to know well or the fact that it always reminds me of Christmas.
Yes: it reminds me of Christmas - I don’t know why, but it’s probably a deep-seated “programmed” thing, i.e. it got played at Christmas when I was young. As a result, I listen to it mostly during the festive season, i.e. now. Unfortunately, my brothers are the more or less the only other people I know who can be considered fans of Jethro Tull, so I get many complaints whenever it graces the hi-fi - I thank my lucky stars for my iPod …

I LOVE Jethro Tull! And I’ve not even heard that album.. Thick as a Brick is possibly my favourite, but psh, Ian Anderson is a fantastic frontman. Hope the foot starts clearing up too, but Christmas wishes to you wherever you are gentle sir - Grix Thraves
Thanks, Grix.
And give that album a listen - it’s excellent. - Timmargh
