This was a brilliantly cunning puzzler which saw you controlling the central character who has to solve puzzles, level by level, to complete the game. The puzzles are varied and require some serious consideration if you’re to complete them.
You always start out as a wizard but you have the ability to morph into various other creatures to aid you in your tasks. To climb ropes you have to morph into a gorilla and to make high jumps you have to morph into a cat. To use an object you have to morph into the wizard and on one level you can morph into a bird to reach a high part of that level. Each time you morph from one creature to another you lose an energy point, of which you have 150 to start with.

Burn the rope to get rid of the parrot
There are sixteen levels in the game and each one is identified by a letter and a password. Obviously, to complete the game you had to complete all the levels and you started at a random level each time you loaded the game.
The graphics are fairly basic and the main part of the screen only consists of 2 colours. However, that’s all that is needed and some incredibly lifelike animation — especially the flaming torches — adds to the feel of the game.

Knock the ball onto the seesaw
Having recently downloaded a BBC Micro emulator I was able to do what I failed in doing all those years ago - complete this game. And just to prove it, I have a screenshot of the “end of game” screen.
Level maps
You can view the passwords and layouts of every level or you can download them as a 354Kb ZIP file containing all sixteen level maps and passwords.
