Harvester pub, Wychbold  0

As Mum was spending her Mothers Day down in Cheltenham with my brother she came round to my house on Saturday for a Chinese takeaway, and very nice it was too. This meant me and the carer were free on Sunday evening when we were invited to join her sister and family for a meal at the Harvester pub in Wychbold. A Chinese takeaway one night and a pub meal the next? I’ll be getting fat!

Okay, okay: fatter. Happy now Tugger? :^P

Anyway, off we trolleyed to the pub.

It’s the type of pub I like: spacious (with plenty of room for a cripple with a lethal weapon motorised chair to manoeuvre), serving nice food and with friendly staff. Included with each meal is unlimited trips to the salad bar, although I had to take peoples word for this as salad bars are not the sort of place I tend to visit. Ever.

I indulged in what is rapidly becoming my usual drink when out and about: a tall glass of Pimms and lemonade, no ice.

The food itself wasn’t bad, although the steak I ordered as “well done” came medium rare. I didn’t complain because: a) I’m English; b) I was hungry and didn’t want to wait while they sorted it and c) I actually like it either way but a well done steak is slightly easier to cut.

I even had enough room left for a pudding and went for the (brand new!!) Honeycomb Explosion:

And finally, a word from Josh, the carer’s nephew:

“Yo!”
