My home internet connection has just been upgraded to 1Mbps … be still my beating heart.
I’ve been on 512Kbps for just over two years and I felt it was time to catch up with everyone else. Unfortunately, my exchange can’t handle the 2Mbps I applied for, so I’ll just have to settle with catching up with almost everyone else.
The difference is noticeable, but I’m sure it’ll be too slow for me in about a month or so.
Ahhh, the good ol’ days of 512kbps. We used to have that, before Blueyonder decided to give us a free upgrade, upto 1.5mbps :)

I have a friend who’s been on NTL for about a year, and although he only pays for 512kb broadband, he recieves 4mb broadband after uncapping his motorola surfboard modem.

It’s alright having a fast connection, but you don’t always get stuff at that speed.
The common misconception is that everything gets faster .. which is just not the case!

I know but a lot of the major sites, like the BBC, load up seemingly instantly now.
Like I said though: it’ll be too slow in a couple of months …
